Perlisten D8is is a high-end subwoofer for the quality-conscious hi-fi enthusiast and home theater owner who wants deep, controlled bass combined with flexible integration into the room. Subwoofer with eight 8” drivers in a push/pull configuration

D8is uses eight 8” drivers in a push/pull configuration. The opposing forces from the drivers cancel out mechanical vibrations in the cabinet and contribute to low distortion and precise bass reproduction.

The cabinet is made from extruded aluminum and has a slim, vertical format. The rigid construction supports resonance control and also makes this Perlisten subwoofer well suited for installations where high bass performance must be combined with a discreet visual appearance.

The sealed cabinet principle – acoustic suspension – contributes to tight and controlled reproduction of the low frequencies. The frequency response extends down to 14 Hz.

3,000 watts RMS and advanced DSP control

The included Perlisten DSP-3000 amplifier delivers 3,000 watts RMS. Signal processing is handled by a 48-bit DSP in combination with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor.

Among other things, the DSP system manages signal processing and protection while also providing extensive options for adapting the subwoofer to the room and system.

The amplifier offers balanced XLR inputs, unbalanced RCA inputs, and a digital AES3/EBU connection. This provides flexible connectivity in both dedicated hi-fi systems and advanced home theater installations.

Adapt the subwoofer to the room

D8is can be operated from the 2.8” LCD touchscreen or via Perlisten’s app for iOS and Android. Here, you can adjust the low-pass filter, phase, EQ, and level, among other settings, and save different user profiles.

The 10-band parametric EQ allows more precise adaptation to the room acoustics and the rest of the setup. In addition, you can choose between the factory presets THX, Boost, and Cut.

The amplifier uses passive cooling without internal fans. This means the cooling system does not add fan noise to the listening room.

Flexible subwoofer for freestanding, on-wall, and in-wall installation

Perlisten D8is offers great freedom of placement. The subwoofer can be wall-mounted, integrated into the wall construction, or placed freestanding with the optional base.

A wall bracket is included, and the slim construction makes D8is especially interesting for home theaters and hi-fi installations where powerful bass must be combined with discreet integration.

The black anodized aluminum finish also gives it a simple and exclusive look, allowing the subwoofer to be visibly integrated into the interior as well.
