Sonus Faber Sonetto III - Power and elegance in one
The Sonetto III is the smallest floorstanding speaker in the Sonetto series, and it offers a surprisingly powerful and musical sound reproduction. Its compact 3-way design makes it optimal for those of you who have a medium-sized room and value beautiful design. The downward-facing reflex port means that the bass is better integrated into the room, so placing the Sonetto III in the room becomes a breeze. Compared to the diminutive Sonetto II, you get a significantly deeper and more powerful bass reproduction with the Senotto III, thanks to its 2 x 5.25" woofers with aluminum diaphragm. Its 1.14" softdome was developed from the experience of the much more expensive Olympica series, and delivers an airy and detailed reproduction with great dispersion.
A tribute to Italy
Like the rest of the Sonetto series, the cabinet is shaped in a unique teardrop shape, which has very special acoustic properties. The design eliminates both the standing sound waves and the cabinet's own resonances, so that no coloration of the sound occurs. The top of the cabinet is adorned with leather, which helps to complete its aesthetic expression.
Sonus Faber has found the inspiration for the Sonetto series in Italian literature. The Sonetto (Sonnet) is the oldest Italian poetic structure, and it originally means "Sound, Melody", which was traditionally used to accompany musical performances. The Sonetto series focuses on the foundations of literary history in Italy and in the rest of the world.
If you are a music lover who loves the good sound as much as the good design, the Sonetto III is a speaker that you should both see and hear.
