The Sumiko Oyster is an MM pickup with a very harmonious and musical sound reproduction. Here you get serious good sound for the money, and a good introduction to what an upgrade of the pickup can do for your sound quality. The sound reproduction will be experienced as more three-dimensional with an increased depth and greater frequency range. It's not the world's most detailed pickup, but it's capable of conveying your vinyls in a particularly immersive way.

The recommended needle pressure is 2.3 grams, and its ½” mounting makes it a perfect match with the vast majority of turntables and RIAA amplifiers. The needle tab is in aluminum with a spherical grind, and high-quality copper coils are used in the pickup housing.
